WHO WILL SURVIVE AMERICA

Fin Le Temps

Cities are always in flux, these photographs are part of Matt Plezier’s ongoing series: Urbanity, urban landscapes of insignificance. Capturing what is soon to be lost.

Stickers are a fixture in the urban landscape. They are ephemeral time capsules, they sometimes protest, a call for action for current causes or they mark territories for bored kids and some are even ads for drug dealers. The streets as a bulletin board, quick and easy.

All stickers and photographs were taken on a trip to NYC between May 1 - 8, 2022. Stickers harvested from 14th Street, NYC between Union Square and 10th Ave.

A project inspired by Philip Tomaru’s ‘Privilege’ series.
