For this show I made a collage of various materials that are frequently used for advertising purposes, like the light box. Walking through the city you see a lot of empty light boxes and unfinished. What I find interesting is that in between between state. The beauty of random compositions like unintended sculptures.

De Aanschouw is a nomadic gallery in the form of a light box. De Aanschouw has been clinging like a parasite to a public place since 6 July 2001; café De Schouw, Witte de Withstraat, Rotterdam. Every Thursday evening around 9 pm a change takes place, with artists taking turns exhibiting one work. From various creative disciplines, they give substance to the meaning this showcase in public space has for them. The fact that this public space is adjacent to a public place is more than a nice bonus. After all, an important element was, is and remains the encounter.
